Die zunehmende Verbreitung von Stahl-Muldenkippern in der ersten H\u00e4lfte des 20. Jahrhunderts verdr\u00e4ngte die Holzkastenkipper. Die Instandhaltung von Holzkastenkippern gestaltete sich h\u00e4ufig einfacher als die der Stahl-Muldenkipper. Schlie\u00dflich gab es in vielen gr\u00f6\u00dferen Betrieben und auf jeder Gro\u00dfbaustelle vor dem zweiten Weltkrieg eine gut ausger\u00fcstete Zimmerei, die auch die Ausbesserung von Holzkastenkippern \u00fcbernommen hat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Das M\u00fcnsterl\u00e4ndische Feldbahnmuseum e.V. kann heute aus drei Betrieben auf Holzkastenkipper zeigen:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Von einem Privatmann im Emsland erwarben wir um 2005 einen besonders kleinen Holzkastenkipper mit der Spurweite 500mm. \u00dcber die Einsatzgeschichte ist leider nichts bekannt. Die geringe Gr\u00f6\u00dfe machte diesen Wagen aber zu einem besonderen Schaust\u00fcck.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1995 erhielten wir aus einem Steinbruch der Basalt AG in Hoffeld\/ Eifel drei Holzkastenkipper mit Au\u00dfenrahmen. Besser gesagt handelt es sich um Fragmente, die nur noch als Baumuster f\u00fcr eine Rekonstruktion geeignet sind.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Die Dienstbahn der Internationalen Rheinregulierung wurde von 1892 bis 2008 betrieben, um Bruchsteine aus dem Steinbruch Kadelberg in Koblach (\u00d6sterreich) zum Bau und zur Ausbesserung des Rheindammes im schweizerisch-\u00f6sterreichischen Grenzgebiet zu transportieren. Hierbei fanden bis zum Betriebsende 750mm-spurige Holzkastenkipper Verwendung, die in eigenen Werkst\u00e4tten gebaut und ausgebessert wurden.
