Als erster erprobte Karl Freiherr von Drais 1842 auf den Geisen der Staatseisenbahn in Karlsruhe eine vierr\u00e4drige Schienendraisine mit Fu\u00dfantrieb. Damit wurde Karl Freiherr von Drais auch der Namensgeber f\u00fcr dieses Gef\u00e4hrt. Am bekanntesten ist die Handhebeldraisine: Auf einer Plattform stehend treibt man das Fahrzeug dadurch vorw\u00e4rts, dass man einen an einer S\u00e4ule montierten Hebel auf und ab bewegt. Die Kraft wird \u00fcber eine Kurbelschwinge auf die R\u00e4der \u00fcbertragen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unsere Handhebeldraisine stammt vom Torfwerk Freistatt bei Diepholz. In diesem Torfwerk wurden in den 1950er Jahren etwa zehn Torfloren zu Handhebeldraisinen umgebaut. Hierzu erhielten die Torfloren in der Mitte ein Gestell f\u00fcr den Pumpschwengel und eine Kraft\u00fcbertragung mit Kurbelstange und Zahnr\u00e4dern auf eine Achse. Von nun an konnten die Torfarbeiter mit Loren zur Arbeit ins Moor fahren, bis das Torfwerk im Jahre 1995 geschlossen wurde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2006 erhielten wir die Draisine von einem privaten Feldbahnsammler.
