Um den notwendigen Bogen einer Kurve zu erhalten, m\u00fcssen die Schienen in den Gleisbauwerkst\u00e4tten auf den ben\u00f6tigten Radius gebogen werden. Die hier gezeigte fahrbare Schienenbiegemaschine konnte auf Gleisen zu den Gleisbaustellen gefahren werden, um so vor Ort Gleisb\u00f6gen nach Ma\u00df zu fertigen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zum Biegen einer Schiene muss diese zwischen den drei Walzen eingespannt werden. Abwechselnd wird die Schiene durch einen Elektromotor in die eine und die andere Richtung durch die Maschine gezogen und durch das Verschieben einer \u00e4u\u00dferen Walze in Querrichtung der Seitendruck auf die Schiene erh\u00f6ht. Bis eine Schiene den gew\u00fcnschten Radius hat, vergehen Stunden &#8211; ein Job f\u00fcr Geduldige. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1971 wurde die Maschine von der Firma Wiegard Maschinenfabrik GmbH &amp; Co. KG in Witten\/ Ruhr gebaut, die 1963 das Produktionsprogramm des Bergbauzulieferers Paul Stratmann &amp; Co. KG in Dortmund \u00fcbernommen hat. Die Maschine mit 750 mm Spurweite wurde fabrikneu an die Sachtleben Bergbau GmbH geliefert. 1991 wurde das Bergwerk stillgelegt. 1993 \u00fcbernahm das M\u00fcnsterl\u00e4ndische Feldbahnmuseum e.V. die offensichtlich schon viele Jahre im Freien abgestellte und v\u00f6llig verrostete Maschine und begann mit der Restaurierung.
